slimline fume hoodOur Slimline hood is a non-airfoil hood designed for the K-12 market, intermittent use or chemical storage. The narrow (1-1/4”) side posts allow for maximum interior work space, however do not accept fixtures. Our paint spray booth utilizes the Slimline superstructure and exterior panels, minus the sash and baffle system. In the Iroquois tradition of quality and value, the Slimline provides a cost-effective alternative where basic hood ventilation is required.



Standard features include:
  • Two hood heights in stock – 48” with 42” interior height; 58” with 48” interior height
  • Welded superstructure for structural rigidity and design flexibility to allow for custom hood sizes and features
  • Two-piece adjustable and removable baffle system to regulate lighter- and heavier-than-air gases
  • Bypass grill with adjustable louvers to control bypass air volume
  • Full frame, stainless steel vertical sash with integral stainless steel finger pull
  • Stainless steel sash guides, duct collar
  • Sash/counterweight pulley system utilizing four 2-1/2"-diameter pulleys for unexcelled smoothness and durability; full-width counterweight featuring “Tilt-Lock” for additional safety
  • Vapor-proof incandescent light fixture (bulb not included)

Optional equipment include:

  • Liner material – choice of nine non-asbestos materials
  • Deck-mounted plumbing fixtures; cabinet-mounted electrical devices
  • Fluorescent or vapor-proof incandescent light fixtures; explosion-proof incandescent light fixtures for hazardous (classified) locations
  • Choice of sashes – vertical rising (standard); top-hung horizontal sliding; combination (vertical /horizontal)
  • Sash stop
  • Ceiling enclosure
  • Countertops – cast epoxy or stainless steel, dished, with service slots and sink cutout as specified
  • Cabinets – complete line of painted metal laboratory casework, including hood base, acid storage and flammable storage cabinets
  • Blowers – forward curved or backward inclined, selected to match hood and ductwork configuration and application; spark-resistant blowers with explosion-proof motors available for hazardous (classified) locations
